Students at work in an International Baccalaureate lesson

अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर

To successfully face the challenges of a rapidly changing world, today’s students must be equipped with a global mindset — that’s flexibility, curiosity, empathy, and respect. The International Baccalaureate Program fosters these traits, guiding students to pursue personal development alongside academic achievement.

International Baccalaureate World School

Critical Thinking. Cultural Awareness. Confidence.

As an authorized International Baccalaureate World School, there is no end to the learning at La Scuola. We open endless pathways for students to build skills, gain confidence, and unlock their imaginations.

When we promote students as co-designers of their own learning, that investment translates into their full engagement. Around the globe, International Baccalaureate World Schools guide students to develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive and make a lasting impact.

At La Scuola, we use the International Baccalaureate Early Years, Primary Years, and Middle Years Programs to encourage personal development and academic achievement, challenging students to think critically, find connections across the boundaries of subject matter, and to ask and answer their own probing questions.

The Primary Years Program develops caring and culturally aware children aged 3 to 11 to become active participants in their own learning. Building a solid academic foundation, the Middle Years Program further develops confidence in students aged 11 to 14, encouraging them to manage their own education and to draw connections between classroom learning and the world beyond campus.

La Scuola International School, San Francisco has undergone a rigorous and objective process of authorization to become an International Baccalaureate Early Years, Primary Years, and Middle Years Program school. We are periodically evaluated to ensure we maintain or exceed the standards of these world-renowned programs.

Open to the World

As an international school, we value the International Baccalaureate for how it connects us with other communities around the world. La Scuola students easily move between International Baccalaureate schools and other countries, developing an instinctive ability to adapt to new cultures, languages, and situations.

Our graduates regularly go on to study in Italy and other countries as they advance to high school, university, and beyond. La Scuola families come from all over to join our community as careers and relationships draw people to new parts of the world.

Approaches to Learning

International Baccalaureate Approaches to Learning are a set of strategies that help students develop the cognitive, social, communication, self-management, and research skills they need for effective, self-regulated, interdisciplinary study.

Subjects are taught holistically, using concepts that students can apply to different situations and disciplines in order to draw their own connections and conclusions.

The Results of the International Baccalaureate

The International Baccalaureate mission is to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who will help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.

That international mindedness is an essential part of our school community, integrating with the Reggio Emilia Approach and language immersion. It reinforces our belief that the world and its people are interconnected. People raised with a global mindset recognize the commonalities that connect people across cultures and geographies. They share guardianship of the planet and work together to create a better world.
