La Scuola International School offers a robust and generous compensation and benefits package to our full-time employees and their dependents. We may be able to offer Work Visa Sponsorship for non-United States citizen teachers who meet requirements.

Competitive Salaries
La Scuola determines salary offers based on years of experience, credentials, and market factors. Annual performance reviews give you the opportunity to impact your compensation package.
Retirement Planning
Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association (TIAA) employees working 1,000 hours or more per year can enroll in TIAA’s 403(b) Retirement Plan. La Scuola matches up to 5% and there is no vesting schedule — the funds are yours from the start.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and our commuter benefits program allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars for use on eligible health care, dependent care, and workplace transit expenses.
Tuition Remission
Full-time employees may be eligible for 50% off tuition at La Scuola International School for their first two children, plus the option to apply for additional assistance.
Employee Referral Bonuses
Each time you refer a job applicant who completes a year at La Scuola, you receive a $1000 bonus.
Relocation Expenses
New employees receive up to $3,000 to cover eligible international relocation expenses and up to $750 for domestic relocation.
Work Visa Sponsorship
Teachers who qualify and are in possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or equivalent, have a minimum two years full-time teaching experience, and are presently employed as a full-time teacher abroad may be eligible for a Teacher Exchange Visa. Please contact our Human Resources department for more information.
Employee Childcare
On professional development days and during other required events, we offer no-cost childcare for your children enrolled at La Scuola.
Insurance
Medical & Vision Insurance
We offer employees medical insurance through Kaiser Permanente. We pay 100% of HMO $20 co-pay plans and High Deductible Plan / Health Savings Account (HSA) plans for all employees working at least 75% time. We will cover 50% of spousal and dependent premiums. Plans include chiropractic and acupuncture services, virtual visits, and discounts on wellness and care while traveling. Basic vision coverage is included in the Kaiser Permanente plan.
Dental Insurance
La Scuola covers 100% of Humana Dental insurance premiums for employees working at least 75% time. We do not subsidize spousal or dependent dental insurance.

Faculty accrue 10 sick and personal days per year. Year-round administrators accrue 11 sick days per year. Both are prorated based on full-time equivalency.
School Holidays & Closures
La Scuola typically closes for five weeks during the school year and observes 9 paid holidays for regular employees.
